How can we solve the problem of plastic trash in our society? I base this on the knowledge of the swirling island of plastic in the Pacific Ocean called the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. It's a huge swirl of plastic debris churning in the waters in the Pacific, toxifying the ocean waters and killing marine life. My question is "How can we eradicate the Great Pacific Garbage Patch and the use of disposable plastics in our society?"
My invented culture is the "GoGos" which are little individual collectible toys that are all pretty much the same size, but different in color and design. My son collected these when he was little and we still have them in the house. I like how no two are alike. We have two sets of them, probably about 150 in all, and each one is a unique design. I wanted to represent a culture that could work together to solve a problem even though each is different, possibly having different ideas. I think the plastic "GoGos" represent multiculturalism pretty well.
